DENSITY - COUNTRIES

Population density shows us how populated an area is. We calculate population density by dividing the number of inhabitants by the size of the area they live in. The measurement for area is square kilometres (km2).

Monaco is one of the smallest countries in the world, however its population density is 19500 inhabitants per km2. Russia is the biggest country in the world but its population density is only 9 inhabitants per km2.

Cobeña, our town, had a population density of 332 inhabitants per km2 in 2016.
